USEC Inc. (NYSE: USU) is looking up considerably, though this is not a partitioning to its woes. There were reports that the Department of Energy said it would retard its final decision to give the company time to foregather test and business goals over its polity loan guarantee. As of 6:00 PM EST we have seen some 90,000 shares trade hands since the closing bell, but the toll is up 10% at $4.72 on correct at 90,000 shares. Put this one on your watch lists because if there is a belief on Wednesday that the DOE will probable roll over and approve a loan guarantee, then this one could be off to the races….-JON OGG

Eastman Kodak Co. (NYSE: EK) is seeing elevated options state and elevated stock volume. Shares are up 26% at $4.11 and as of 1:20 PM EST we have seen 11,825,618 shares trade hand. The average intensity is roughly 5.1 million shares. Eastman Kodak shares have traded in a range of $3.15 to $ 4.15 today and its 52-week range is $2.01 to $17.71. Due to the sell-off and erosion, its market cap after today’s 26% gain is still exclusive $1.11 billion. The options state is trading close to 10,000 contracts among the $4.00 CALL and $5.00 CALL Strike Prices from the August, September and Oct expiration months. This is one of the older private equity buyout names from backwards during the buyout bubble of 2005 to 2007 but that was exclusive if the stock went low enough. We have been looking for other data, but there has been whatever retiree action to prevent benefits being revilement to pensioned employees. -JON OGG
King Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NYSE: KG) intensity exploded on August $10 calls with nearly 4,000 trading before 10:30 AM as a rumor that Abbott Labs (NYSE: ABT) is looking at the Company for a $16.00 offer. Implied irresolution initially overturned higher from 91% to 98%. King shares are cheap on most metrics and it trades just 5X change value with solid drug prospects, despite some past FDA rejections. King will inform earnings before the open on August 6th and with a 2.28B market cap, this name could definitely be in play. Large lots are being bought offer side, showing institutional interest.
