Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE: BGP) is seeing profit taking after a near-50% gain on Thursday over its new credit line. Barronâs also panned its prospects as dismal over the weekend. Shares are down 4.7% at $2.42 ahead of the closing bell.
Cray Inc. (NASDAQ: CRAY) has yet to trade this morning. But after the Thursday close it announced the win of a $45 million supercomputer contract order fro a U.S. agency. Shares were up 10% around $6.60 on the news but only indications are available so far as this trades only about 245,000 shares per day.
Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENER) is down again, on yet another Barronâs pan calling it a value trap and potentially worthless and almost definitely worth less. At 8:50 AM EST we have shares down 3.1% at $7.44 on 19,000 shares. The 52-week low is $7.10 and average volume is over 2 million shares.
MDRNA, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRNA) is trading higher after it announced a study effort with Pfizerto focus on the evaluation of MDRNAâs proprietary di-alkylated amino acids platform and UsiRNA constructs for RNA interference. At 8:50 AM EST shares are up 10.9% at $1.32 on almost 500,000 shares.
Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVSN) is trading up after announcing that it has received an $8.5 million purchase order for new PicoP Laser Projection Display Engine. This company is in the infancy stage and did not even have $1 million in revenues last quarter. At 8:50 AM EST shares are up 13.6% at $3.43 on about 50,000 shares.
Repros Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: RPRX) is trading up after it requested a lift of the clinical hold on Proellex being developed for the treatment of uterine fibroids and endometriosis. The hold was put on August 4, 2009 when the FDA noted that further testing of Proellex was placed on full clinical hold due to findings of liver toxicity as a serious adverse event. Repros had suspended its Proellex studies the day before. Shares are up almost 20% at $0.73 on almost 150,000 shares as of 8:50 AM EST. Shares were up almost 30% around 8:20 AM EST.
SandRidge Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SD) is down on the reports that it plans to buy Arena Resources for $1.6 billion versus a closing market cap of $1.65 billion. At 8:50 AM EST we have shares down almost 4% at $7.55 on over 1.5 million shares. The 52-week trading range is $6.79 to $15.00 and the average daily trading volume is about 6.3 million shares.
